Lake Bug Survey Rescheduled

The Leech Lake benthic monitoring (bug survey) scheduled for July 12, 2009, did not take place as the technician was ill. The survey has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 30, 2009.

The technician will start gathering samples at 8:30 am and the species identifying and counting will commence at 9:15 am.
The location is: Hemblin/McCoy cottage. 1037 Lakeshore Rd (right side)

We need all the help we can get! This is a great opportunity to learn about what lives at the bottom of your lake and how these creatures contribute to the health of the lake.

Refreshments will be served and a light BBQ lunch following completion of the project.
